My husband and I booked a B&B for a 26th wedding anniversary in Elizabeth City last weekend because we had heard great things about Montero's. We went on Saturday night and they had placed fresh flowers and a nice anniversary note on the table before seating us. What a nice touch. Sheila was our server and she was wonderful with menu suggestions and just good ole plain conversation. We started out with the app. sampler and it certainly didn't disappoint. The crab dip, spinich dip and "back by popular demand" buffalo chix dip (OMG yummy) with toast points and tortilla chips were all delicious! Plenty for 4-6 people but we managed to do some real damage, just the two of us. The Ceasar salad with homemade traditional caesar dressing was dressed perfectly and for once I didn't comment that "mine is better"! My husband ordered the Andouille Encrusted Red Snapper what was just melt in your mouth as well as my order of Brown Sugar Encrusted Pork Chops with caramalized onions and apply brandy sauce. We ended with creme brulee that was a perfect completion to a perfect meal. It's the first time ever I think neither my husband or myself had "order envy" over the others meal especially since we shared and couldn't decide which one could have been any better over the other. The entire meal from soup to nuts rated 10 out of 10 for us!! Andy was a very gracious host and he really makes you feel right at home, as he, his wife Karin, Sheila and even the hostess were so very friendly. It's also nice that Andy makes wine by the bottle very affordable. You can tell he takes pride in his place and his food and very important that the experience is truly enjoyed. We'll be back. It actually was the reason we picked Elizabeth City as our destination and the B&B choice was secondary. THANKS ANDY FOR A GREAT TIME AND A LOVELY MEAL!!

We can't thank you enough for providing such a wonderful, warm and inviting setting for our Wardroom Hail & Farewell on 20 May 2010. Because our Wardroom is so small (30 members in total), we have been limited in the past. You and your staff went above and beyond in accommodating us. Everyone in attendance had a blast and it was without doubt the best Wardroom event we have ever had. The food was incredible! From the Appetizer Samplers, to the Trio of Dips, Hot Wings, Onion Tankers and my favorite the Fried Goat Cheese, everything was prepared perfectly. I would be remiss if I didn't specifically mention your phenomenal manager Shelia, who took such good care of our group. She ensured our glasses were full and our palettes and stomachs were satisfied. Again, Thanks for a great experience.

My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times. Always a great experience. The last time was for our anniversary. The spinach dip is the best I've ever had and my steak was AWESOME !!! The best place to dine out in town by far. Everything is top notch.

Montero's is mine and my husbands favorite place to go out for a nice dinner. The food is amazing, the restaurant is impeccable and you wont find more attentive and professional staff anywhere in Elizabeth City. The best place in Elizabeth City to have a nice dinner out!!

I just celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday at Monteros. It was a success. Andy and his staff met all my needs during both the planning and party phases. The food was delicious and for a lunch time meal was plentiful. If Andy was not available, Lori stayed on top of things meeting all of my request. The room was perfect and they even provided the audio visual equipment I needed on such a short notice. The staff working the room kept me informed of any questions presented by my guest. The day was in a word, PERFECT. Thanks Andy!! I will definitely keep in contact.

I worked with Andy and his crew to set up a retirement celebration for one of our co-workers and it was a wonderful experience. Andy worked with me to provide us with a marvelous menu and extraordinary food. The service, as always, was impeccable. Montero's really is the place to celebrate those special occasions and to enjoy an incredible dining experience!

We have only a few weeks to plan a wedding for our daughter. My husband and I dropped in one evening unannounced and within 5 minutes Andy was helping us plan the event. In less than 30 minutes we had a date, private room and the perfect menu at a GREAT price all ironed out with a handshake. Went to dinner last night and it was amazing once again. I got the baby back ribs, they were so tender they fell right off the bone. The french fries were hot and fresh just like I like them. Then to satisfy my sweet tooth I ordered the Coffee Creme Brulee and was it MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMM good. Everything once again was a wonderful experience.. THANK YOU Andy and Crew
